Dog kissing man on the nose

Activities are planned by the people participating in services with assistance from staff based on their interests and goals. Some of our current programs include, raised bed gardening which provides individuals with the opportunity to plant, tend to, and harvest a variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers. We also promote technology through the use of tablets, Smartboards and adaptive switches. Nutrition group, art projects, card making, reading and choral group are also popular activities. Many participants enjoy learning how to care for our, “Brownie” and “Twinkie”, the Day Hab guinea pigs. We also have Blaze, our visiting therapy dog, who is a large lovable Collie and visits us several times a month to provide all the individuals the experience of walking him, playing fetch and learning about pet care.
